Google and the Librarians
Many librarians are starting to write about how Google has been using us. Steven Cohen wrote about How Google Used Librarians…and Got Away With It. Sarah Houghton-Jan, The Librarian In Black, wrote on how Google Punked Us. Google has not updated the Google Librarian Central in over a year. Google has not responded to any requests for information about the site or its resources. I have contacted one of the people responsible for it via FaceBook (Pamela Saenger). I have not gotten a response yet. I am trying to track down more direct contact information on others involved in Google Librarian Central. I will let you know what I find out.

Pam Saenger here, got your message. Just wanted to let you know that I am no longer at Google, and that I had been moved to another department within Google around the time of my last posting. I checked into it and I think they're planning on sending out a librarian newsletter imminently. I myself am also staying tuned...
